- Add the Fathom MCP server to your client
Add https://api.fathom.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server that uses the Streamable HTTP transport, then authenticate to reach your meeting data. In Claude (web and desktop) and ChatGPT, Fathom publishes an official connector and app that you connect from the Claude connectors directory or the ChatGPT app page instead. For Claude Code, Fathom documents adding the server through the mcp-remote bridge.
- Sign in to Fathom and complete the authorization prompts
- List the server's tools
Your client should list the server's tools. That confirms the connection, not every API permission.
What we observed
- 5 Nov 2026: HTTP 401 with WWW-Authenticate resource_metadata https://api.fathom.ai/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, which names the authorization server https://api.fathom.ai and scope mcp.
