# How to connect the Fathom MCP server

To connect the official Fathom MCP server, add https://api.fathom.ai/mcp to your MCP client as a Streamable HTTP server, then sign in with OAuth when your client prompts you. Fathom documents setup for Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT.

## Before you start

- A Fathom account with the meeting data you want the assistant to read.
- If you use Claude in a team or organization, an owner must enable the Fathom connector before it appears for members.
- Fathom's Claude Code instructions run the server through the mcp-remote bridge, which needs Node.js installed.

2. **Add the Fathom MCP server to your client** Add https://api.fathom.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server that uses the Streamable HTTP transport, then authenticate to reach your meeting data. In Claude (web and desktop) and ChatGPT, Fathom publishes an official connector and app that you connect from the Claude connectors directory or the ChatGPT app page instead. For Claude Code, Fathom documents adding the server through the mcp-remote bridge.
3. **Sign in to Fathom and complete the authorization prompts**
