API Status Check
API Status Check answers "is it down?" questions with a live read of the vendor's own status page. Ask whether a service is having an outage and Claude gets its overall state, affected components and active incidents, read during the call, plus a link to the official status page. When a service publishes no readable status feed, the connector checks whether its API endpoint responds instead and says that is what it did. You can also ask about recent reliability: the second tool lists the incidents a vendor published in the last 1 to 90 days, with start and resolve times and impact. When no incident record exists for a service it says so, rather than reporting zero incidents. Coverage is a fixed list of about 285 popular services and APIs (AI providers, cloud, payments, developer tools, communication apps, games). Both tools are read-only and need no account. A status page only shows what a vendor has acknowledged, so problems limited to one region, network or account may not appear.
