Add https://mcp.wix.com/mcp as a remote MCP server that uses the Streamable HTTP transport (often labelled "http"). Wix also accepts the SSE transport for clients that need it. Wix publishes a one-click install for Cursor.

Create a Wix API key and send it in the Authorization header (Wix's example sends the key itself, without a Bearer prefix), together with a wix-account-id header that contains your Wix account ID. Keep the key in an environment variable or secret store, not in shared configuration.

Your client should list the server's tools. That confirms the connection, not every API permission.
What we observed
- 5 Nov 2026: HTTP 401 on https://mcp.wix.com/mcp with WWW-Authenticate error invalid_token and resource_metadata https://mcp.wix.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, which names the authorization server https://mcp.wix.com and scope offline_access.
